Marisa Abbott
Marisa did not grow up in a family of motorcycle riders; instead she discovered riding through friends - at first as a passenger, then as the operator. Motorcycling has enriched Marisa’s life in ways she never imagined from the first day she learned to ride: to a supportive community of friends, exciting motorcycle-centric events, cross-country adventures, and even riding on frozen Wisconsin lakes, it’s brought so much joy and lifelong friendships into her life. This ultimately led her to being certified as a RiderCoach, as it meant that Marisa could help other people discover the same joy that motorcycles have brought her while simultaneously helping to keep them safe on the road. When not riding, Marisa is typically found playing with lighting fixtures for live entertainment and architectural installations lighting up stages and buildings.
Sarah Kretchmar
Motorcycling is one of the great loves of my life.
When I took that first motorcycle course in the 1990’s, the Motorcycle Instructor told us “The more you know, the better it gets” Fast forward over 25 years, and for me, this still rings true today. I have devoted my life to being a lifelong learner, and Motorcycling is no exception. I continue to pursue more knowledge in both motorcycling and motorcycle awareness. And continue my desperate search for countermeasures….in lowering our crashes and fatalities in Wisconsin. After all, What Difference Do You Make?

Riding since 2008 he considers himself next-to-new in the sport. Having spent time riding in small groups and solo cross country, he favors the quiet, low stress of riding with one other bike or less. Camping from the bike and seeing the sites is therapy like no other.

I have worked with the Wisconsin DOT in the Ride Endorsed program and Ride Your Own Ride working to reduce unlicensed riders and single bike crashes with a public/private relationship between ABATE of Wisconsin and Wisconsin DOT.
